About Me

Groovy, you made it to my About Page.

I just started this blog so please check back as I post more! Thank you

Loving and taking care of "Mother Earth" has naturally appealed to me from an early age.
I was born and raised in a small SW Oklahoma rural town, which later became a growing military base city. I am a middle-aged mother of 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren. As a mother hen, I am always looking for ways to provide my daughters and grandchildren healthier and safer products and ideas for "Greener Living" on a budget.
Budget means I do not have a lot income coming in and "Living Green" can be expensive, however, if you can be creative and search there are many, inexpensive ways to "Living Green".
Please excuse any words or sentences that may appear wrong, I am Dyslectic (word blindness, a development disorder which can cause learning difficulties in one or more areas spelling, reading, writing and numeracy). Being left handed doesn't help either, Lol.
Please provide me feedback if any words are wrong or just doesn't look correct.
With this disorder, I found being outside the classroom more appealing. More hands-on experience to help me retain what I was learning.  I did manage to complete High School and some 2 years of college with a great deal of effort. Anyhow, back to why I am here writing this Blog.
Continuing to "Go Green" has been a habit for me throughout my life. Learning from an early age, taking care of "Mother Earth" was a must in my Grandmother's mind and passed that on to me. We weren't exactly financially well-off so being conservative in everyday life was a must. We used the land space to garden as must food as possible to get us through the year, storing vegetables in a root cellar that we canned. Clothes that were too small or worn out got cut up into squares than sewn into quilts.  I still some of those quilts. Reusing items for other things took creative thinking. Trash was burned in steel drums back than if you were rural, so reusing certain things cut down on burning. Rural burning continues to this day.
Recycling, reusing, being conservative and purchasing products that have the "Green Living Label" need to become second nature. Being a Modern Day Hippie is fun and interesting. I would to share some of that old knowledge and some new knowledge with you.

NOTE: There are so many sites that just do reviews for the heck of it whether they are good or not. I use the products or ideas for my personal mission of saving my little piece of "Mother Earth" and give my personal opinion of what works and what doesn't. I even report to you how difficult it is to use or create "Green Living" products and ideas.
I have nothing to gain or lose in my opinion reviews. Just want to share my experiences and give an honest review.
